Mr Sydney Platt, of the orleans Club,
King street, St James, S.W., and of the
Villa Beatrix Pau, Basses Pyrenees, France,
a J.P. for Carnarvonshire and Sheriff in
1888, left estate in Great Britain of £573,815
(n.p. £562.571(. Estate duty paid £193,092.
He stated that he left a separate will
dealing with his real estate in France.
Among his bequests are:
All his racehorses and the effects connected
therewith to his daughter Eira Gwendolen
Du Breil;
£5,000 and all his other outdoor effects to
his wife;
£3,000 to his niece Renee Marshall on
attaining majority. If a spinster, or, if married, to
nis nephew George Lampriere Marshall;
£1,000 to his nephew Claude Radcliffe;
£1,000 to Frances Martha Lampriere, widow
of his friend and agent Herbert Lampriere.
After other bequests, he left the residue
of his property as to half upon trust for his
wife for life, and subject thereto two-thirds
upon trust for his daughter and her issue,
and one-third upon trust for his grand-
daughter, Noel Cicely Platt and her issue.
